In my day job, I work as a web strategist in nonprofit technology. One of my favorite things about my job is the fact that there is an incredibly rich community behind it. I remind myself everyday how lucky I am to work in a field where there are so many amazing and awesome people, and of course, I adore the mission.
This past weekend I attended the 2010 Nonprofit Technology Conference, affectionately known in our space as #10NTC. The organization, NTEN.org, which hosts the conference does an amazing job of keeping our community going with the best content and events out there. Their staff always goes above and beyond to make things fun, engaging, and of course, incredibly valuable.
To thank them for all that they do, I volunteered to photograph the event. Knowing the subjects made it even more fun, and with over 24 gigs of photos, I’ll be sorting through images for a long time to come. The best part was that both of my worlds united for 3 days and I could explore one via the lens (literally) of another. I feel so incredibly fortunate. Thank you NTEN for all that you do!
The above photo is during Holly’s – NTEN’s Executive Director – annual pre-conference slumber party. What better than to network in your pajamas with other women in the industry? We also played a little Truth or Dare…. And thus came the Omni CNN Center Lobby “photo bomb” :).
